HiLMS User Book
How to use HiLMS: your account, the courses you learn from, and the admin panel where editors and administrators build them. Polish interface labels are given in brackets where they help you find something. Describes the current state of the system only.
Chapters
Section titled “Chapters”- Your account — registering, signing in, passkeys and two-factor, your profile, your language and clock, your data, deleting the account.
- Roles — what administrators, editors, instructors and students may do.
- The panel — entering it, finding your way around, Settings and its search, how the editors are laid out, which clock a date is in.
- Users and roles — creating accounts, profile fields, account controls, impersonation, permissions.
- Categories — organising the catalogue.
- Courses — creating, editing, pricing and publishing a course, and its cover.
- Sections and lessons — building the curriculum and writing a lesson.
- Browsing and learning — the catalogue, the side panel and the programme in it, the course page, the player, videos in a lesson, your progress.
- Lessons and blocks — the editor, the picker, patterns, grids, a block’s own look, what a refused save says, every block, choosing files and describing pictures.
- Students and access — entitlements and enrolments, granting, revoking, expiry, quizzes.
- Pages — pages you own, the three the site links to, audiences, the legal templates, addresses.
- AI assistants — turning them on, the four assistants, reviewing and applying, costs.
- Administration — Settings group by group: branding, styles, site pages, region and time, sign-up, profile fields, media and storage, mail, API clients and agents; then phrases, monitoring and the audit trail.
- Languages — adding a language, the switch, writing a course in another language, correcting a phrase.
- Menus — places and languages, what an entry may point at, audiences, nesting, what a new installation starts with.
- The media library — public files and course material, uploading, words per language, captions, replacing, where a file is used, deleting, choosing a file, what instructors see and may only read.
- Styles — how the site looks: HiLMS WCAG, making a style or one from five answers, foundations and components, colours and the sliders, sizes, fonts and shadows, generating a section, the layout choices, the Fonts page, the accessibility advice, previewing on the real site, activating, exporting and importing for designers, deleting, history.
